Sahih al-Bukhari 302 (Book 6, Hadith 7) #299
Controlling Sexual Desires

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was able to control his sexual desires and would fondle his wives during their menstrual periods.

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad: (on the authority of his father) 'Aisha said: "Whenever Allah's Messenger wanted to fondle anyone of us during her periods (menses), he used to order her to put on an Izar and start fondling her"'.Aisha added, "None of you could control his sexual desires as the Prophet could".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive hard enough and make an effort towards controlling your desires; Be respectful towards women even during times when they are not allowed to engage in physical intimacy with you due religious reasons or any other reason for that matter; Follow the example set by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the Prophet's ability to control his sexual desires. He was able to do this even when he was around his wives during their menstrual periods, which is a time when it is not permissible for them to engage in physical intimacy. Instead of giving into temptation, he would order them to put on an Izar and then fondle them instead. This shows us that it is possible for us as humans to have self-control over our desires if we strive hard enough and make an effort towards it. It also teaches us that we should be respectful towards women even during times when they are not allowed to engage in physical intimacy with us due to religious reasons or any other reason for that matter.
