EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Khuzaimah bin Thabit states that the Prophet Muhammad set a time limit of three days for travelers. This means that if someone is going on a journey, they should not be away from home for more than three days. If the questioner persisted in asking about this ruling, then the Prophet would have made it five days instead. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our responsibilities at home and to not stay away from them too long when we are traveling. It also shows us how merciful and understanding the Prophet was towards his followers as he was willing to extend this time limit if needed.
