Wiping Over Leather Socks

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad wiped over the top and bottom of his leather socks.

It was narrated from Mughirah bin Shu'bah that: The Messenger of Allah wiped over the top and the bottom of the leather socks.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ، عَنْ وَرَّادٍ، كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ مَسَحَ أَعْلَى الْخُفِّ وَأَسْفَلَهُ

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of wiping over his leather socks.
