Taking a Bath Together While Junub

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) and Aisha used to take a bath from the same pot while they were Junub, and during her menses, he would fondle her and she would wash his head.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in I'tikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect Islamic practices such as Ghusl after intercourse/sexual discharge etc., Be supportive towards your spouse's difficulties/illnesses/etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his wife Aisha taking a bath together while they were in a state of junub. In Islam, when someone has sexual intercourse or experiences any kind of sexual discharge, they must perform ghusl before engaging in prayer or other religious activities. In this hadith it is mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ and Aisha took a bath from one pot while they were junub. It also mentions that during her menses, he used to order her to put on an Izar which is an article of clothing worn below the waist by women in some Islamic cultures. He also used to fondle her during this time which shows how much love there was between them as husband and wife. Lastly it mentions that when he was in I'tikaf - which is when one secludes themselves for spiritual retreat - she would wash his head even though she was menstruating at the time. This shows us how important it is for spouses to be supportive of each other even during difficult times such as menstruation or illness.
