QUICK LESSONS:
Show reverence for this special city and treat it with respect at all times.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of respecting the city of Madinah, which is a holy place in Islam. It was narrated by Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, who said that Abu Hurairah used to say that if he saw hyenas roaming in Madinah, he would not advance upon them. This is because the Prophet Muhammad said that whatever is between its two lava tracts is sacred. This means that all areas within these two lava tracts are considered holy and should be respected accordingly. The Prophet's words remind us to show reverence for this special city and treat it with respect at all times.
