The Bond Between the Prophet and His Uncle

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is emphasizing the strong bond between him and his uncle Al-Abbas.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: that the Messenger of Allah said: "Al-'Abbas is from me and I am from him".
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ بن زَكَرِيا الْكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ الْعَبَّاسُ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ ‏"‏ ‏. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِسْرَائِيلَ
