This hadith narrates an incident in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) visited a woman with whom he had consummated marriage and some people were present there. He left to fulfill his need but was prevented from entering her house. When he returned for the second time, those people were gone and this incident led to the revelation of the verse of Hijab. The verse of Hijab is one that commands modesty and privacy between men and women who are not related by blood or marriage. It also emphasizes on maintaining respect for each other’s boundaries in order to protect their dignity and honor as well as maintain peace in society at large. This hadith teaches us that we should always be mindful about our actions so that we do not hurt anyone’s feelings or violate any boundaries set by Allah SWT or His Messenger PBUH . We should also strive to maintain peace within our communities by respecting each other’s privacy and honoring each other’s boundaries at all times.
