The Responsibility of Seeking Advice

SUMMARY: Seeking advice from others is a responsibility that should be taken seriously.

Narrated Umm Salamah: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The one whose council is sought is entrusted'."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ الْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
