The Incompatibility of Hypocrisy and Piety

SUMMARY: Good manners and knowledge of the religion cannot coexist in a hypocrite.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah said: "Two things will not be together in a hypocrite: Good manners, and Fiqh in the religion".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the incompatibility between hypocrisy and piety. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Prophet Muhammad said that two things will never be found together in a hypocrite - good manners and knowledge of the religion. This means that someone who claims to be religious but does not have good manners or does not practice what they preach is considered a hypocrite. A true believer should strive to have both good manners as well as knowledge of their faith so they can live according to its teachings.
