Jami at-Tirmidhi 2683 (Book 41, Hadith 39) #28318
Taqwa of Allah and Mindful Learning

SUMMARY: The hadith is about having taqwa of Allah and being mindful of what one learns.

Narrated Ibn Ashwa: from Yazid bin Salamah Al-Ju'fi, he said: "Yazid bin Salamah 'O Messenger of Allah! I heard so many narrations from you that I am afraid the last of them will cause me to forget the first of them. So narrate a statement to me that will encompass them'. So he said: 'Have Taqwa of Allah with what you learn'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Have fear/taqa of Allah when learning something new .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a reminder to have taqwa, or fear, of Allah in all that we learn. It encourages us to be mindful when learning something new so that we can remember it and apply it in our lives. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked by Yazid bin Salamah Al-Ju'fi how he could remember all the narrations he heard from the Prophet ﷺ, so the Prophet ﷺ replied with this statement as a reminder for him to have taqwa with what he learned. This hadith teaches us that knowledge should not be taken lightly; rather, we should strive to learn with mindfulness and understanding so that we can use it properly in our lives.
