Reverting to Disbelief and Fighting Each Other

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) warned his followers not to revert to disbelief and fight each other after his death.

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: "Do not revert to disbelief after me, some of you striking the necks of others"'.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith of Ibn 'Abbas is a warning from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that his followers should not turn away from their faith in Allah after he passes away, nor should they fight each other in the process of doing so. This hadith emphasizes the importance of unity among Muslims, even when faced with difficult times or disagreements between them. It also serves as a reminder that reverting to disbelief is never an option for those who believe in Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, no matter how hard things may get or how much disagreement there may be between them at any given time. Furthermore, this hadith teaches us that we must always strive for peace and unity among ourselves as believers, rather than resorting to violence or fighting one another over differences of opinion or beliefs.
