SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was seen taking food from the sides of a dish, and Anas bin Malik still likes to do the same.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: "I saw the Messenger of Allah taking from the sides around the dish - meaning the gourd. Since then I still like it". Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. This Hadith has been reported through more than one route from Anas bin Malik.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful when eating , Share with others equally , Respect your elders .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to take food from around the edges of a dish. It is narrated by Anas bin Malik, who said that he saw him doing this and it has been reported through more than one route. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful when eating and not just take food from one area or pile on our plate. We should spread out our food so that everyone can have an equal share, as this is what the Prophet did himself. Additionally, it shows us how much respect we should have for our elders and those in authority; even though Anas was younger than the Prophet at the time, he still followed his example and remembered it for many years afterwards.
