Jami at-Tirmidhi 1664 (Book 22, Hadith 47) #27278
The Value of Worship and Service to Allah

SUMMARY: Guarding the frontier for a day in the cause of Allah is better than anything in this world. Spending time worshipping Allah is also better than anything in this world.

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: That the Messenger of Allah said: "(Ribat) Guarding the frontier for a day in the cause of Allah is better than the world and what is in it. And an afternoon the worshipper spends in the cause of Allah - or a morning - is better than the world and what is on it. And the space occupied by the whip of one of you in Paradise is better than the world and what is on it". This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the value and importance of serving and worshipping God. It tells us that spending even a single day guarding the frontier for God's cause is more valuable than all worldly possessions combined. Similarly, spending an afternoon or morning worshipping God is also more valuable than all worldly possessions combined. Even something as small as occupying space with one's whip while serving God has greater value than all worldly possessions combined. This hadith teaches us that we should prioritize our service to God over any materialistic gains or desires we may have from this world because it will bring us closer to Him and ultimately lead us to paradise where we will be rewarded infinitely more for our efforts here on earth.
