QUICK LESSONS:
Think carefully before making any promises or vows in our lives .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is forbidden to make a vow for something that goes against the teachings of Islam. Making a vow or oath in Islam should be done with caution, as it is considered a serious matter and breaking one's vow can have consequences. In this hadith, we learn that if someone makes a vow for something which goes against Islamic teachings, then the atonement for such an act would be similar to the atonement of an oath. This means that if someone breaks their promise or violates their oath, they must make up for it by performing certain acts prescribed by Islamic law. This hadith also serves as a reminder to us all to think carefully before making any promises or vows in our lives so we do not end up having to pay any consequences due to our actions.
