QUICK LESSONS:
Respect living creatures, Take responsibility for one's possessions, Treat animals with kindness

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the order given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to kill dogs, except for those used in hunting or guarding livestock. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave this commandment. Abu Hurairah also added that a farm dog should be excluded from this order as he himself had a farm. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our actions and to take responsibility for our animals and possessions. We should not let them roam around freely as it can cause harm to others, but rather keep them under control so they do not become a nuisance or danger to society. Furthermore, we must respect all living creatures and treat them with kindness even if they are not ours directly; this includes animals such as dogs which are often seen as pests but still deserve love and care like any other creature on earth.
