Give your wealth/blessings away in charity; Share your wealth/blessings with those less fortunate than you; Think about how you can help others even when you have something valuable like a piece of land; Use your wealth/blessings to free slaves; Use your wealth/blessings to support Allah's cause; Help travelers & guests if they need assistance .

This hadith is about giving endowments for charity. Umar bin Khattab asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ what to do with a piece of land he had acquired in Khaibar. The Prophet ﷺ suggested that Umar give it as an endowment with its fruits to be given in charity. This means that instead of selling or giving away the land, Umar should keep it and use its yield or profits to help those who are less fortunate than him such as poor people, his relatives, slaves who need freeing, those working for Allah’s cause and travelers or guests who may need help. The guardian of this endowment can also eat from it if needed but should not store any of it for future use. This hadith teaches us that we should always think about how we can help others even when we have something valuable like a piece of land; instead of keeping all the profits from this land for ourselves we should share them with those who are less fortunate than us so they too can benefit from our blessings.
