The Reward of Praying Fajr

SUMMARY: Praying Fajr in congregation and then sitting in remembrance of Allah until the sun rises, followed by two Rak'ah, will be rewarded with the same reward as a Hajj and Umrah.

Anas bin Malik narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun has risen, then he prays two Rak'ah, then for him is the reward like that of a Hajj and Umrah". He said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Complete, complete, complete'."

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the great reward that comes from praying Fajr in congregation. It is narrated by Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah said that whoever prays Fajr in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun has risen, then he prays two Rak'ah, will be rewarded with the same reward as a Hajj and Umrah. The Prophet also said "Complete, complete, complete." This means that if one does this action completely and sincerely they will receive an even greater reward than just a Hajj and Umrah combined. This hadith teaches us to take advantage of our time to remember Allah and pray for His blessings. It also encourages us to pray together as a community so we can benefit from each other's presence during prayer. Lastly it reminds us of how much we can gain from dedicating our time to worshipping God Almighty.
