Sahih al-Bukhari 2615, 2616 (Book 51, Hadith 48) #2502
The Superiority of the Handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Mu'adh

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was presented with a cloak made of thick silken cloth, which he forbade people to wear. He then said that the handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this.

Narrated Anas: A Jubba (ie cloak) made of thick silken cloth was presented to the Prophet. The Prophet used to forbid people to wear silk. So, the people were pleased to see it. The Prophet said, "By Him in Whose Hands Muhammad's soul is, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this". Anas added, "The present was sent to the Prophet by Ukaidir (a Christian) from Dauma".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for excellence even if it's something small like a hankercheif .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the superiority of the handkerchiefs of Sa’d bin Mu’adh over a cloak made from thick silk cloth. It was narrated by Anas ibn Malik who said that a Jubba or cloak made from thick silk cloth was presented to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and he forbade people to wear it because it is not permissible in Islam for men to wear silk clothing. However, when the people were pleased with this gift, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that “By Him in Whose Hands Muhammad's soul is, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this”. This statement shows us how much more valuable and superior something given out of faith and sincerity can be compared to something given out as an act of showmanship or pride. It also teaches us that we should strive for excellence even if it is something small like a handkerchief because Allah will reward us for our efforts no matter how small they may seem.
