EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the generosity of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is narrated by Ibn 'Umar that he was travelling with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, riding a troublesome camel belonging to Umar. Umar's father noticed that no one should go ahead of the Prophet and suggested to sell it to him. Umar offered it for free and so, the Prophet bought it and gave it as a gift to his son Abdullah. This hadith teaches us about how generous and kind-hearted the prophet was towards others, even when he himself did not need anything in return. He showed us how we should be generous with our possessions and give gifts without expecting anything in return. It also shows us how important respect for elders is in Islam as Umar's father was respected by both his son and the prophet himself for his wise advice.
