Equality of the Prophets

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) taught us to not differentiate between the Prophets.

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying : Do not distinguish between the Prophets.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَحْيَى - عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ‏ "‏ لاَ تُخَيِّرُوا بَيْنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that we should respect all of the prophets and treat them equally. We should not distinguish between them or give preference to one over another. This is because they are all messengers of Allah, sent with His message and teachings for humanity. We must remember that they were all chosen by Allah, so we must show respect for each one regardless of their background or culture. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us that we should never forget our duty to follow the teachings of these prophets in order to gain Allah's pleasure and mercy.
