EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the subtlety of polytheism or shirk in Arabic. It was narrated by Humaid al-Tawil who asked al-Hasan about a verse from the Quran which states that polytheism can creep into the hearts of sinners without them even realizing it. This means that people may unknowingly commit acts of polytheism such as worshipping other gods or believing in superstitions without being aware that they are doing so. It is important to be mindful and conscious of our actions so as to avoid falling into this trap and committing sins unknowingly.
