Removing Images from the Ka'bah

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ ordered Umar ibn al-Khattab to visit the Ka'bah and remove all images from it before he entered.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet ordered Umar ibn al-Khattab who was in al-Batha' at the time of the conquest (of Makkah) to visit the Ka'bah and obliterate all images in it. The Prophet did not enter it until all the images were obliterated.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings, Remove any idols/pictures from places of worship/homes

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of removing images from the Ka’bah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ordered Umar ibn al-Khattab to visit the Ka’bah and remove all images in it before he entered. This shows us that we should not have any idols or pictures of people in our places of worship as this is against Islamic teachings. We should also be careful not to put up any pictures or statues in our homes as this can lead us away from worshipping Allah alone. It teaches us that we should focus on worshipping Allah alone and not be distracted by anything else when we are praying or performing other acts of worship.
