The Virtue of Emancipating Slaves

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ compared the act of freeing a slave to giving a gift after satisfying one's appetite.

Narrated AbudDarda': The Prophet said: the similitude of a man who emancipates a slave at the time of his death is like that of a man who gives a present after satisfying his appetite.
