Seek advice before making decisions or taking actions; Be fair in dealings with people; Seek consultation when making important decisions or taking actions which may have an impact on our lives or those of others around us

In this hadith, narrated by Salim al-Makki, it is mentioned that a bedouin wanted to sell his milch animal to Talhah ibn Ubaydullah. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised him not to sell it directly but rather go to the market and see who buys from him. He was also asked to consult with the Prophet after he had done so. This hadith teaches us that we should always seek advice from those who are knowledgeable before making any decisions or taking any actions. It also teaches us about being fair in our dealings with people, as townsmen were not allowed to buy from desert dwellers at higher prices than what they would get in the market. Furthermore, it encourages us to seek consultation when making important decisions or taking actions which may have an impact on our lives or those of others around us.
