Repent for your sins immediately after committing them and ask for forgiveness from Allah SWT. Avoid committing major sins like adultery, drinking alcohol etc., so your faith remains intact.

This hadith is narrated by Abu Huraira and it talks about how a person's belief can be affected by their actions.
