Perform four takbirs over gravesites as an act of respect for those who have passed away

This hadith narrates the incident when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed by a freshly dug grave and performed four takbirs over it. A takbir is an Arabic phrase meaning “God is great” which is said in prayer or during other religious ceremonies. It is believed that performing this ritual brings peace to the deceased person's soul and helps them in their journey to the afterlife. This hadith teaches us that we should remember those who have passed away and show respect for them even after they are gone. We can do this by praying for them or visiting their gravesites to pay our respects.
