Dividing Khaibar

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad divided the land of Khaibar into two halves, one for his own needs and the other for the Muslims, which he then divided into eighteen portions.

Sahl bin Abi Hathmah said "The Apostle of Allaah divide Khaibar into two halves. One half was reserved for his emergency and needs, the other half was meant for the Muslims. He divided among them into eighteen portions".

QUICK LESSONS:
Share resources with others fairly and generously.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad divided the land of Khaybar into two halves. One half was reserved for his own needs and the other half was meant to be shared among all Muslims. He then further divided this half among eighteen portions so that each Muslim could receive a portion of it. This hadith teaches us that we should always share what we have with others and not keep it all to ourselves. It also shows us how generous and kind Prophet Muhammad was towards his followers, as he made sure everyone got their fair share of resources even when they were limited.
