Treat all creatures with respect and kindness; avoid causing unnecessary pain or suffering for any living creature; show compassion towards all living creatures; follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) .

This hadith is narrated by Jabir, who reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said when he saw an ass which had been branded on its face. He cursed those who brand animals on their faces or strike them in such a way. This shows us that the Prophet ﷺ was very compassionate towards animals and taught us to be kind to them as well. He also taught us not to cause any unnecessary pain or suffering to any living creature, even if it is an animal. We should treat all creatures with respect and kindness, just as we would want others to treat us with respect and kindness.
