Prophet Muhammad's Kindness to Children

SUMMARY: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a compassionate and caring leader who showed kindness to children.

Anas bin Malik said "I brought my brother when he was born to Prophet to chew something for him and rub his palate with it and found him in a sheep pen branding the sheep, I think, on their ears".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show kindness & compassion towards all living things regardless of size or species
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the compassion and care that Prophet Muhammad showed towards children. Anas bin Malik narrates that he brought his brother when he was born to the prophet so that he could chew something for him and rub his palate with it. However, instead of doing this himself, the prophet was found in a sheep pen branding the sheep on their ears. This shows us how much importance he placed on taking care of animals as well as children. He did not neglect either one in order to show kindness and compassion towards both creatures of Allah SWT. It is also an example for us to follow in our own lives; we should strive to be kind and compassionate towards all living things around us regardless of their size or species.
