This hadith is about a tradition of fasting on Saturdays that was prohibited. It was narrated by Al-Laith and Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri. When it was mentioned to Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri that fasting on Saturdays had been prohibited, he would say that this is a Himsi tradition. This hadith teaches us the importance of following Islamic traditions and not following any other traditions which are not in accordance with Islam. We should also be aware of our religious obligations and follow them accordingly without any deviation from the teachings of Islam.
