The Importance of Hastening to Break the Fast

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ said that as long as people hasten to break the fast, religion will continue to prevail.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet said: Religion will continue to prevail as long as people hasten to break the fast, because the Jews and the Christians delay doing so.
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو - عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ يَزَالُ الدِّينُ ظَاهِرًا مَا عَجَّلَ النَّاسُ الْفِطْرَ لأَنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى يُؤَخِّرُونَ
