Respect places of worship, Keep mosques clean

This hadith, narrated by Anas, teaches us that spitting in a mosque is considered a sin and must be expiated. A mosque is a holy place of worship for Muslims, so it should be respected and kept clean. To expiate this sin, one must bury their spittle instead of spitting on the ground or leaving it there. This hadith also teaches us to respect places of worship and keep them clean as much as possible.
