QUICK LESSONS:
Respect places of worship , Keep mosques clean , Consideration for others
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith of Anas b. Malik states that it is prohibited to spit phlegm in the mosque. This prohibition applies to all mosques, regardless of their size or location, and applies to all people who enter them, regardless of their age or gender. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should respect our places of worship and keep them clean and free from any form of filth or dirtiness, including spitting phlegm inside them. This hadith also teaches us about respecting other people's places of worship as well as our own; we should not do anything that would make others uncomfortable or cause harm to those around us while inside a mosque.
