Compassionate Concession for Skin Condition

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) granted a concession to two of his companions, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf and Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam, allowing them to wear silken shirts due to their skin condition.

It was narrated from Anas that: The Messenger of Allah SAW granted a concession to 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf and Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam allowing them to wear silken shirts because of scabies that they were suffering from.
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرْخَصَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَالزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ فِي قُمُصِ حَرِيرٍ مِنْ حِكَّةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِمَا

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) compassion and mercy towards his companions. In this hadith, it is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) granted a concession to two of his companions, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf and Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam, allowing them to wear silken shirts due to their skin condition. This shows us how compassionate the Prophet was towards those who were suffering from any kind of ailment or illness. He showed mercy by granting concessions that would help alleviate their suffering in any way possible.
