EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of wearing gold in large pieces as stated by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated from Abu Shaikh that he heard Mu’awiyah say, when a group of the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ were with him, “Do you know that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing gold unless it was broken into smaller pieces?” They said, “By Allah, yes”. This hadith teaches us to be mindful and conscious about our actions and to follow what has been prescribed by Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. We should not wear large pieces of gold as this is considered haram or forbidden according to Islamic teachings. Instead we should break them down into smaller pieces before wearing them if we must do so at all.
