The Prophet's Advice on Perfume

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) advised Ya'la to not wear Khaluq, a type of perfume, and to wash it off if he had already put it on.

It was narrated that Ya'la said: "I passed by the Messenger of Allah SAW and I was wearing Khaluq. He said: 'O Ya'la, do you have a wife?' I said: 'No'. He said: 'Go and wash it off, then wash it off, then wash it off, and do not put it on again'. So I went and washed it off, then washed it off, then washed it off, and I did not put it on again".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow the advice of the prophet Muhammad SAW by being modest in your actions and words; focus more on your inner beauty rather than your outward appearance; strive for spiritual purity instead of physical beauty; be humble before Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was advising Ya'la ibn Umayyah about wearing a type of perfume called Khaluq. He asked him if he had a wife and when Ya'la said no, the Prophet told him to go and wash it off three times. This shows us that the Prophet was encouraging modesty in his followers and discouraging them from wearing perfumes or anything else that could be seen as excessive or unnecessary. He also wanted people to focus more on their inner beauty rather than their outward appearance. This is an important lesson for all Muslims as we should strive for spiritual purity rather than physical beauty. We should also remember that Allah is most pleased with those who are humble and modest in their actions and words.
