EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a warning from the Prophet of Allah against castrating or mutilating slaves. It is narrated by Samurah and Ibn Bashshar that the Prophet of Allah said, “Whoever castrates his slave, we will castrate him, and whoever mutilates his slave, we will mutilate him”. This hadith teaches us that it is wrong to harm our slaves in any way. We should treat them with respect and kindness as they are human beings just like us. We should not take advantage of their vulnerable position in society by mistreating them or taking away their rights as humans. Instead, we should strive to protect them from any kind of harm or injustice done to them by others. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as a reminder for us to be mindful of our actions towards others regardless if they are our slaves or not; for no one has the right to hurt another person in any way whatsoever without consequence from God Almighty Himself.
