Be generous and kind to those around you no matter what your circumstances are.

The hadith narrated by Ibn 'Abbas tells us about the final act of generosity done by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is said that when he passed away, his shield was in pledge with a Jew for thirty Sa's of barley to provide food for his family. This shows us how generous and kind-hearted the Prophet was even at the end of his life. He put others before himself and made sure that those around him were taken care of first. This hadith teaches us to be generous and kind to those around us no matter what our circumstances are. We should always strive to help others in need and put their needs before our own desires.
