Sacrifice of Two Horned Rams by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sacrificed two horned rams, saying Allah Akbar and pronouncing the Name of Allah while doing so.

Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah sacrificed two horned, Amlah rams, saying: 'Allah Akbar and pronouncing the Name of Allah. I saw him slaughtering them with his own hand, and placing his foot on their sides". I said: You heard it from Him? He said: Yes. (Sahih )
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، قَالَ ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ يُكَبِّرُ وَيُسَمِّي وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِيَدِهِ وَاضِعًا عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا قَدَمَهُ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's sacrifice of two horned rams. He said "Allah Akbar" and pronounced the name of Allah while doing so. This shows us that we should always remember to thank God for all that we have and be grateful for it. We should also remember to say His name with reverence whenever we do something in His name or in remembrance of Him. Furthermore, this hadith teaches us that even though sacrificing animals is not a requirement anymore, it still serves as an important reminder to be thankful for what we have been given by God and to show our gratitude through our actions. It also reminds us that no matter how small or insignificant something may seem, if it is done in remembrance or honor of God then it will be accepted by Him and rewarded accordingly.
