Defaming and Fighting Muslims is Wrong

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught that defaming a Muslim is wrong and fighting them is disbelief.

It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abdullah, from his father, that: The Messenger of Allah SAW said: "Defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is Kufr".
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ، يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us that it is wrong to defame or speak ill of another Muslim. Doing so would be considered an act of evildoing. He also warned us against fighting another Muslim, as this would be considered an act of disbelief or Kufr. This hadith teaches us the importance of respecting our fellow Muslims and not engaging in any form of violence against them. We should strive to maintain peace with one another and treat each other with kindness and respect at all times.
