The Sin of Defamation and Fighting Muslims

SUMMARY: Defaming a Muslim is wrong and fighting them is considered disbelief.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "Defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is Kufr". (Sahih Mawquf)
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزَّعْرَاءِ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is wrong to defame or speak ill of another Muslim. It also teaches us that it is considered disbelief to fight against another Muslim. We should always strive to be kind and respectful towards our fellow Muslims, even if we disagree with them on certain matters. We should never resort to violence or verbal abuse when dealing with other people in the community. Instead, we should use dialogue and understanding in order to resolve any differences between us peacefully.
