Keeping Promises Despite Difficulties

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) vowed to stay away from his wives for one month, but due to a dislocation of his leg, he was only able to stay away for 29 days.

Narrated Anas: Allah's Messenger vowed to keep aloof from his wives for one month, and he had dislocation of his leg. So, he stayed in a Mashruba for 29 nights and then came down. Some people said, "O Allah's Messenger ! You vowed to stay aloof for one month," He replied, "The month is of 29 days".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive your best in fulfilling your promises and obligations
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik tells us about the Prophet Muhammad's commitment to keeping his promises despite difficulties. In this case, the Prophet had vowed to stay away from his wives for one month but due to a dislocation of his leg, he was only able to do so for 29 days. This teaches us that even when faced with difficult circumstances, we should still strive our best and remain committed in fulfilling our promises and obligations. It also shows us that Allah is merciful and understanding towards those who are sincere in their efforts and intentions.
