Sahih al-Bukhari 1876 (Book 29, Hadith 10) #1799
The Return of Belief

SUMMARY: Belief is like a snake that returns to its hole when in danger.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "Verily, Belief returns and goes back to Medina as a snake returns and goes back to its hole (when in danger).

Protect your beliefs from any harm or danger; Keep your faith close; Remember Medina is a place where believers can find refuge; Perform Hajj/Umrah rituals each year during Ramadan month every year since 622 CE till today 2021 CE .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of belief and how it is similar to a snake returning to its hole when in danger. It teaches us that belief should be held close and protected from any harm or danger. Just as a snake will return to its hole for safety, so too should we protect our beliefs from any harm or danger. We must also remember that our beliefs are not only important for ourselves but also for the people around us who may be influenced by them. By protecting our beliefs we can ensure that they remain strong and true even in times of difficulty or hardship.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was teaching his companions about the importance of protecting their faith and how it can help them stay strong even during difficult times. He used the example of a snake returning to its hole when in danger as an analogy for how believers should protect their faith from any harm or danger they may face. This hadith reminds us that no matter what happens, we must always keep our faith close and never let go of it no matter what challenges come our way.

This hadith also teaches us about the importance of Medina as a place where believers can find refuge and protection from any dangers they may face while living there or travelling through it on their journey back home after performing Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage rituals there each year during Ramadan month every year since 622 CE till today 2021 CE .
