Marriage in Ihram

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad married Maimunah while they were both in Ihram.

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas: That the Messenger of Allah married Maimunah when they were both in Ihram.
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُمَا مُحْرِمَانِ

The Prophet Muhammad was an example for all of us to follow and his marriage to Maimunah is a testament to that. It also teaches us the importance of marriage and how it should be taken seriously even during times of worship. We can learn from this hadith that marriage is a sacred bond between two people and should not be taken lightly or done without thought or consideration. Additionally, this hadith shows us the importance of following the example set by our beloved Prophet Muhammad and how we can use his life as a guide for our own lives.
