Following in the Prophet's Footsteps

SUMMARY: Abdullah bin Umar was prevented from reaching the Ka'ba by the infidels of Quraish, but he still followed the Prophet's example and sacrificed his camels and got his head shaved.

Narrated Nafi': That 'Abdullah and Salim said to 'Abdullah bin 'Umar, "(You should not go for Hajj this year)"'.Abdullah bin 'Umar replied, "We set out with the Prophet (to Mecca for performing 'Umra) and the infidels of Quraish prevented us from reaching the Ka'ba. Allah's Messenger slaughtered his Budn (camels for sacrifice) and got his head shaved".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ، شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُمَرِيِّ، قَالَ وَحَدَّثَ نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، وَسَالِمًا، كَلَّمَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ فَقَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ مُعْتَمِرِينَ، فَحَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ دُونَ الْبَيْتِ، فَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بُدْنَهُ، وَحَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Abdullah bin Umar who was prevented from performing Hajj by some infidels of Quraish. Despite this obstacle, he still followed in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and sacrificed his camels for Ibadah and got his head shaved. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to obey Allah SWT even when faced with obstacles or difficulties. We should also follow in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet ﷺ as much as possible so that we can be closer to Allah SWT.
