QUICK LESSONS:
Sacrifice animals during Eid al-Adha every year; Share your blessings with those who are less fortunate than you; Be generous with your wealth and possessions; Remember Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Ishmael at God’s command .

EXPLANATIONS:
According to this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sacrificed an animal, known as a Hadi, before he had his head shaved. He then asked his companions to do the same. This act of sacrificing animals is known as Qurbani in Islam and is done during Eid al-Adha every year. It is a way for Muslims to remember Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael at God's command and also serves as a reminder of how generous we should be with our wealth and possessions. By sacrificing an animal, Muslims are able to share their blessings with those who are less fortunate than them by giving away some or all of the meat from the sacrificed animal.
