QUICK LESSONS:
Enter into a state of iḥrām before embarking on any religious journey or activity.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of entering into a state of holiness and purity known as iḥrām when performing the pilgrimage to Makkah, known as Ḥajj. It was narrated by 'Aishah, one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). When performing Ḥajj, it is important to enter into a state of iḥrām in order to be spiritually prepared and focused on worshipping Allah. This hadith teaches us that even the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) himself entered into this state before beginning his pilgrimage. We can learn from this that we should also strive to enter into a spiritual mindset before embarking on any religious journey or activity in order to ensure that our intentions are pure and our focus is solely on worshipping Allah.
