EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of resurrection, a man will be raised from his grave and he will be reciting a special prayer known as ‘Talbiyah’. This hadith was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas who was one of Prophet Muhammad's companions. The Prophet Muhammad instructed that when someone dies, they should be washed with water and lotus leaves and then shrouded in their cloths but not to cover their head or face as they will need to recite this prayer on that day. The Talbiyah is an important prayer for Muslims which is said during Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages to Mecca. It is also said at other times such as when entering a mosque or during certain festivals like Eid al-Adha. This hadith reminds us that we should always remember Allah in our lives and strive to do good deeds so that we can recite this special prayer on the Day of Resurrection.
