Entering Ihram from Different Regions

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the instructions given by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to people of different regions on where they should enter Ihram from.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that a man stood up in the Masjid and said: "O Messenger of Allah, from where do you command us to enter Ihram?'' The Messenger of Allah Said: "The people of Al-Madinah should enter Ihram from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people of Ash-sham should enter Ihram from Al-Juhfah, the people of Najd should enter Ihram from Qarn'.' Ibn 'Umar said: "And they say that the Messenger of Allah said: 'the people of Yemen should enter into Ihram from Yalamlam'.'' And 'Ibn 'Umar used to say: "I did not hear this from the Messenger of Allah'.''
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَامَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُهِلَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏"‏ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏"‏ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ لَمْ أَفْقَهْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the instructions given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to people of different regions on where they should enter Ihram from. According to this hadith, the people of Madinah should enter Ihram from Dhul Hulaifah; the people of Sham should enter Ihram from Al Juhfah; and the people of Najd should enter Ihram from Qarn. It was also narrated that the Messenger ﷺ said that those coming from Yemen should enter into ihraam at Yalamlam but Ibn Umar did not hear this directly form him ﷺ. This hadith teaches us that we must follow all instructions given by our beloved prophet ﷺ and be obedient to him even if it means travelling a long distance for Hajj or Umrah. We must also remember that Allah SWT rewards us for our efforts and hardships taken for His sake and He will never let us down if we are sincere in our intentions.
