Hen he did not fast until he reached Makkah, and he conquered Makkah during Ramadan". Ibn 'Abbas said: "And the Messenger of Allah fasted until he reach Makkah, and he conquered Makkah during Ramadan". Ibn 'Abbas said: "And the Messenger of Allah fasted and broke his fast while traveling, so whoever wishes may fast, and whoever wishes may not fast".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow religious obligations even while travelling .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's journey from Madinah to Makkah, where he was fasting until he reached Usfan. He then called for a cup of water and drank it in front of the people, showing that it was permissible for him to break his fast while traveling. When he arrived in Makkah, he continued fasting until conquering the city during Ramadan. This hadith teaches us that we are allowed to break our fasts when traveling if we wish, but if we can manage it then continuing our fast is preferable. It also shows us how important fasting is as a spiritual practice; even though the Prophet was on a long journey with many obstacles along the way, he still managed to keep up with his religious obligations and conquer Makkah during Ramadan.
